Flora - Milan

My colleague and I were on our way home by train during the volcanic-ash-cloud crisis and Hotel Flora proved to be an excellent place to stay for (barely) one night since it's only 2 minutes away from Milano Centrale (main train station).

I m coming every year to Milan, I m staying at hotel Flora since 1998 as it is very well placed near the Stazione Centrale, it is very clean , solid and has a fair price in the summer.the staff is helpfull, most of all segniora Josephina that serves you a breakfeast with a smile and always a pleasant word

The size of the shower is problematic.

Nice location (just near railway station and buses to the airport), not far from the city center (15 minutes by walk or several stations by train). Very clean rooms with all necessary things. Rather nice place to stay and discover the city or do shopping, nothing more.

Hotel staffs were all nice. More than that hotel flora is pretty close to Milano central station and easy access to metro. If your purpose is mainly sightseeing and reach to Milano by train, this hotel is really convenient.

Location to train and metro fantastic

It was well located for the main station and for a selection of good restaurants (from cheap to expensive). The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Our room was comfortable, quiet and very clean. But that is a minor matter. We would certainly stay at the Flora again if we visit Milan.

The only thing that we disliked was the elevator which is a little small - if one is at all claustrophobic. But that is a minor matter. We would certainly stay at the Flora again if we visit Milan.

Hotel is closed to Milano Centrale and subway station. Hotel staffs are very nice and helpful which has two elevators inside the hotel. Room is clear but small.

Breakfast is ok but only one lady serves around 10 tables. WiFi is not free which is charged eur10 for 24 hrs. I can hear my neighbour talking.

It is very close to all transport into the major points of interest. Easy to get there with baggage from the Milano Centrale

The hotel was great, excellent location, and very clean and tidy. The only thing was the internet connection was a little slow at times, this aside I would highly recommend the hotel Flora for a Milan visit. For those who enjoy walking it is around half an hour stoll to Milan centre, which is an enjoyable walk, or 5min on the Metro.

Internet didn't work after a few hours. Didn't get internet voucher money back.

Location was wery good - near the train station, but the district is unpleasant because of the mentioned station. Reception is 24 h a day opened. Near to metro station which goes directly to Duomo

Too high price for internet. And bathroom - not good at all.

Good location - the central station is in 3 minutes by foot. The rooms are nice - not very big, but it's fine for spending the nights. The bathroom is very well and good equipmented with some bathroom accessories. The breakfast was nice as well. I'd say this hotel is the good value for money if you are going to travel by trains or if you are going to shopping - the main shopping street -Buenos Aires Corso is in 7 minutes by foot from the hotel.

I can't say that staff at the reception desk was very friendly, but I usually come to the hotel to sleep and don't pay much attention to the communication with the staff. Althought the woman in breakfast room, who serves tea/coffee, is very friendly in spite of not speaking English.

Close to the railway station. Helpful staff. Clean and cosy room at the 6-th floor - this is roof-flor and it has a balcony. So it is calm. Very good breakfast with singing buffet-lady. She is in a good mood and it brings you in the same state.

internet was way to slow....I paid for a service that wasn't up to my standards.

(1) Strategic location - near to Milano Terminal Station (2) Allow early check-in (> 4 hours).

(1) Should provide free internet access (2) No maps & no introduction of Milan (3) Arrogant counter staff which gave us bad first impression (as this is the 1st hotel we had for our trip in Italy).
